485 posts · Joined 2008. #17 · Dec 5, 2022. Picked up my Colt King Cobra Target 22 today and couldn't be happier. The finish is fantastic and every bit as high polished as the new Pythons and Anacondas. The action is super smooth and even lighter.

Well, I ended up going with the Hogue Rubber grips for both the Python and King Cobra. Since my 6" Python is a post-2020 model, I used the Hogue Rubber Monogrip (SKU # 46000). This grip is an open-backed rubber grip and fits perfectly using the original Python grip's stirrup pin and the included hardware with the Hogue rubber grip (stirrup and screw).The sights on the King Cobra are fixed with a groove in the top-strap and a black blade up front with a brass bead set on it. The front sight is replaceable with a set-screw that loosens up to remove the front sight from its base. It is the same set-up as on the Colt Cobra and Brownells has a fiber-optic and Tritium front sight available online.The Colt King Cobra.
