Hello, Looking for advice on the correct rod choice between the 53 and 52 Centaur Chiron - mostly fishing summer NJ YFT with come BFT up to the Bacardi.The fish isnt goin to die because it has a treble in its mouth apposed to a single hook. You might have a better hookset with a single hook AT TIMES, but your going to get more chances to set the hook with the treble. WIth fish like tuna, they set the hook themselves so the hooks get buried the same way regarless of a treble or single.I baby this reel and had it for about 4 years, this happened the other day while jigging, it wasn't even on a fish. I had to purchase another arm for about $20, which isn't bad but it still sucks considering how much these reels cost. If spooled up loosely Braid will dig into itself on the reel spool when line is peeled off from a fish, binding up and possible lost fishy. Apply a good coat or 2 of carbuna wax to bare spool. Do not drop your spool of braid line in a bucket of water like some vid's tell you. I don't know the model number of the rod I just bought (got it with a combo for a GREAT price off ebay and no rod information was given) and was curious to the quality.
